How to Plan a Round Trip With Multiple Stops Using The Internet

Internet mapping services are good at planning A to B trips, but not quite so good if you need to make many stops during one trip. You can always calculate directions from one stop to the next, but you would then have to pick the order of your stops. If you want to have the map program pick the order of your stops for high efficiency, follow these steps

Go to http://gebweb.net/optimap/
The above website is a "TSP Solver". TSP stands for "Traveling Salesman Problem". The traveling salesman searches for the shortest route between all his stops (without going to the same stop twice because no one wants to see a salesman twice.)
Enter the first address Enter the first address Enter your first address and click "Add". The first address will be your starting point.
Enter all other addresses one by one. The order of the other address are not important. However, if you want your final destination to be different than your starting point, then enter the final destination last.
Click on Calculate Fastest Roundtrip. If you wish your final destination not to be your starting address, then click instead Calculate Fastest A-Z trip.
Do a reality check on the directions. If there are known road problems or if things have changed, then follow your best knowledge instead of the maps.
